ChatGPT lets you manage your Postpone content using natural language. Once connected, you can create and schedule posts, get content suggestions, and manage your social media directly from ChatGPT or the Codex CLI.
Connecting ChatGPT Web
ChatGPT connects to Postpone over OAuth. Adding a custom MCP app requires turning on Developer mode first, which is available on the web for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans.
Enable Developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings, go to Security and login, then toggle on Developer mode.
Create an MCP app
Go to Plugins, click the + button, then click Create MCP App.
Fill in the plugin details
Fill in the New Plugin form with:
- Name: Postpone
- Connection: Server URL,
https://api.postpone.app/mcp - Authentication: OAuth
Check I understand and want to continue, then click Create.
Sign in and approve access
A Postpone sign-in window will open. Approve access to complete the connection.
Use Postpone in a chat
In a new chat, click the + button in the message box and select Postpone.
Connecting the Codex CLI
If you use the Codex CLI, add Postpone from your terminal, then sign in:
codex mcp add postpone --url https://api.postpone.app/mcp
codex mcp login postpone
Try It Out
Once connected, ask ChatGPT something like:
"List all my connected Postpone social accounts."
"Schedule a post for my LinkedIn account announcing our new feature, set for 9am tomorrow."
"Show me my published posts from last week and how many likes and comments they got."
