Cursor lets you manage Postpone directly from your code editor. Build automation scripts, create posts, and manage your social media workflow without leaving your development environment.
Connecting With OAuth
OAuth is the simplest option — no API key required.
Open your MCP configuration
In Cursor, open Customize from the sidebar and add a custom MCP server, or edit ~/.cursor/mcp.json directly.
Add the Postpone MCP server
Add the following configuration and save the file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"postpone": {
"url": "https://api.postpone.app/mcp"
}
}
}
Sign in and approve access
Cursor will prompt you to sign in to Postpone. Approve access to complete the connection.
Connecting With an API Key
Create an API key
Create one on the API Settings page. Copy it somewhere safe — it's only shown once.
Add the server configuration
Add the following to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, replacing API_KEY with your key, then save the file:
{
"mcpServers": {
"postpone": {
"url": "https://api.postpone.app/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer API_KEY"
}
}
}
}
Try It Out
Once connected, ask Cursor something like:
"Create a post for my LinkedIn account announcing the release described in this CHANGELOG file and schedule it for tomorrow."
"Show me my Postpone posts scheduled for this week, grouped by platform."
"What was my top performing post on Bluesky in the last 7 days?"
See more example prompts in the introduction.
