Connecting Postpone to Muse

Connect Postpone to Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, with a custom connector and a Postpone API key.

Muse is Meta's personal AI agent. Connect it to Postpone to schedule posts, check your calendar, and see how your posts are doing.

You add Postpone by asking Muse to create a custom connector. Muse authenticates with a Postpone API key sent as a Bearer token.

Connecting Muse

Create an API key

Create one on the API Settings page, or on the Muse page under Settings → AI Agents & MCP. Copy it somewhere safe — it's only shown once.

Ask Muse to add Postpone

Open Muse and paste this prompt:

"Create a custom connector for Postpone, my social media scheduler. It's an MCP server at https://api.postpone.app/mcp (streamable HTTP) that authenticates with an "Authorization: Bearer API_KEY" header. Ask me for the API key, then list my Postpone social accounts to confirm it works."

Give Muse your API key

Paste your API key when Muse asks for it. Once Muse lists your Postpone social accounts, the connector is working.

Muse builds the connector itself, so the questions it asks can vary. If it asks for more details, give it the server URL https://api.postpone.app/mcp and an Authorization header with the value Bearer API_KEY, using your key.
Custom connectors aren't reviewed by Meta, so consider giving the key an expiry. API access requires a plan that includes it and a confirmed email address. You can revoke your key anytime on the API Settings page.

Try It Out

Once connected, ask Muse something like:

"Look at my recent posts to learn my usual topics and tone, then draft a post for Instagram and Threads and schedule it in Postpone for Friday at 9 AM."

"Every Monday morning, check my Postpone queue for the week ahead and tell me which accounts have nothing scheduled."

"Look up my recommended posting times in Postpone for each of my connected accounts."
