OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent you run yourself. Connect it to Postpone to schedule posts, check your calendar, and report on what published — through whatever interface you have OpenClaw wired into.
You can connect with OAuth, which suits an agent you sit in front of, or with a Postpone API key, which suits an agent running unattended.
Connecting With OAuth
Add the Postpone MCP server
From the machine running OpenClaw, run:
openclaw mcp add postpone --url https://api.postpone.app/mcp --transport streamable-http
Sign in and approve access
Run the following command and open the authorization URL it prints:
openclaw mcp login postpone
Sign in to Postpone if prompted, then approve access. You can also sign in from OpenClaw's Settings, under MCP, by clicking Sign in next to the Postpone server.
Connecting With an API Key
Create an API key
Create one on the API Settings page. Copy it somewhere safe — it's only shown once.
Add the server configuration
Add the Postpone server to ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json, replacing API_KEY with your key:
{
"mcp": {
"servers": {
"postpone": {
"url": "https://api.postpone.app/mcp",
"transport": "streamable-http",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer API_KEY"
}
}
}
}
}
Reload OpenClaw
Run openclaw mcp reload to pick up the new server.
Try It Out
Once connected, ask OpenClaw something like:
"Every Monday, check my Postpone queue and tell me which accounts have nothing scheduled this week."
"Fetch the blog post at URL, write a post for X, Threads, and Bluesky, and schedule all three in Postpone."
"What was my top performing post across all my accounts in the last 7 days?"
See more example prompts in the introduction.
