Supported Feed Sources

A reference guide for each feed source type Postpone supports, including the URL format to use when subscribing.

Postpone supports subscribing to 15 different feed source types. Each source type expects a specific URL format or identifier when you add a feed. This guide explains what to enter for each one.

RSS / Atom

Enter the full URL of any standard RSS 2.0 or Atom feed.

Example: https://example.com/feed.xml

Most blogs and news sites publish an RSS feed. Look for an RSS icon on the site, or try appending /feed, /rss, or /feed.xml to the site URL.

YouTube

Enter a YouTube channel URL or channel ID. Postpone automatically finds the channel's feed. Playlist URLs are also supported.

Examples:

  • https://www.youtube.com/@channelname
  • https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxxxxxx
  • https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxxxxxx

Podcasts

Enter the podcast's RSS feed URL or an Apple Podcasts URL.

Examples:

  • https://feeds.example.com/podcast.xml
  • https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1438054347

If you only have the podcast name, search for it on Apple Podcasts and copy the URL from the browser.

Substack

Enter the Substack publication URL.

Examples:

  • https://example.substack.com
  • example.substack.com

Ghost

Enter the URL of any Ghost-powered blog.

Example: https://blog.example.com

WordPress

Enter the URL of any WordPress site.

Examples:

  • https://example.wordpress.com
  • https://yourblog.com

Works with both WordPress.com hosted sites and self-hosted WordPress installations.

Medium

Enter a Medium profile or publication URL. Custom domains are also supported.

Examples:

  • https://medium.com/@username
  • https://medium.com/publication-name
  • https://custom-domain.com

Beehiiv

Enter your Beehiiv RSS feed URL. You can find this in your Beehiiv dashboard under Settings > Publication > RSS. The URL ends in .xml.

Example: https://rss.beehiiv.com/feeds/yourFeedId.xml

Buttondown

Enter the Buttondown newsletter URL. RSS must be enabled by the newsletter owner.

Example: buttondown.email/username

Dev.to

Enter a Dev.to profile URL or tag page URL.

Examples:

  • https://dev.to/username
  • https://dev.to/t/javascript

GitHub

Enter a public GitHub repository URL. Postpone subscribes to the repository's release feed, so you'll be notified when new versions are published.

Example: https://github.com/facebook/react

Reddit

Enter a subreddit URL or user profile URL.

Examples:

  • https://www.reddit.com/r/technology
  • https://www.reddit.com/user/username

Tumblr

Enter a public Tumblr blog URL. Only public blogs have RSS feeds.

Example: https://example.tumblr.com

Bluesky

Enter a Bluesky handle or profile URL. Only works for accounts with public post visibility.

Examples:

  • @username.bsky.social
  • username.bsky.social
  • https://bsky.app/profile/username.bsky.social

Mastodon

Enter a Mastodon profile URL. Works across all instances. Hashtag pages are also supported.

Examples:

  • https://mastodon.social/@username
  • https://mastodon.social/tags/opensource
