Introduction to Bluesky Posts

Postpone enables scheduling of individual Bluesky posts and threads from your connected accounts.

Post Specifications

• Character limit: Each post can have up to 300 characters.
• Media support: Each Bluesky post can contain either no media or 1-4 images.

Threads

• Threads can contain unlimited posts.
• All posts in a thread are scheduled for the same date and time.

Getting Started

1. Connect your Bluesky account in Settings > Social Accounts.
2. Click Create a Post and select Bluesky.
3. Write your post content (up to 300 characters).
4. Optionally attach 1-4 images.
5. Choose your desired Scheduled Date and Time.
6. Click Schedule Post.

Your Bluesky post will be submitted at the scheduled date and time.

Supported Features

Everything Postpone supports when scheduling to Bluesky:

• Single posts and threads — Schedule one post, or an unlimited-length thread that publishes in order at the scheduled time.
• Thread numbering — Automatically append numbering (1/5, 2/5, and so on) to every post in a thread.
• Reordering — Move posts up or down to change their position in a thread before you schedule it.
• Final post — Automatically append a standing call-to-action post to the end of every thread, set once in Default Post Settings.
• Media — Attach up to 4 images, or a single video, to each post in the thread.
• Quote posts — Paste the URL of a Bluesky post into your text and Postpone publishes your post as a quote of it, removing the URL from the text.
• Link cards — Postpone builds a preview card for the first link in your post automatically.
• Link image attachment — Pull the preview image from a link in your post and attach it as media with one click.
• Alt text — Add a description to each image or video so screen readers can describe it.
• Content warnings — Label a post as suggestive, nudity, or porn so Bluesky hides its media behind a warning.
• Languages — Tag the post with the languages it's written in so it reaches the right language feeds.
• Extra hashtags — Attach hashtags to the post as metadata, in addition to any you write into the text.
• Reply controls — Choose who can reply: everybody, nobody, only accounts you mention, or only accounts you follow.
• Auto-repost — Automatically repost your post after a delay. See Auto-Repost.
• Auto-remove — Automatically delete your post after a delay, optionally only when it hasn't reached a minimum number of likes. See Auto-Removal.
• @mentions — Tag other Bluesky accounts by typing @ in your post text.
• AI Post Writer and Thread Writer — Generate or rewrite a single post or a whole thread. See Writing Individual Posts and Writing Multi-Post Threads.
