With Postpone, you can schedule Tumblr posts in advance so that your content continuously appears in your followers' feeds.
Supported Formatting
Postpone's Tumblr integration supports scheduling posts containing:
- Text (including headings, subheadings, quotes, and chat formatting)
- Links
- Images and GIFs
- Videos
A post can include one uploaded video. Additional video blocks can point to an external video URL, such as a YouTube link. See Tumblr Media Limits.
How to Schedule a Tumblr Post
- Click the Tumblr Create a Post button.
- Select the target blog you want to post to.
- Fill out the post content using text, links, and image blocks.
- Add tags to the post.
- Choose your desired Scheduled Date and Time.
- Click Schedule Post.
Postpone displays a preview showing how the post will appear on Tumblr. Your post will be submitted at the scheduled date and time.
Supported Features
Everything Postpone supports when scheduling to Tumblr:
- Target blog — Choose which of the blogs on your Tumblr account the post publishes to.
- Block editor — Build the post out of stacked blocks in any order, the same way Tumblr's own editor works.
- Text blocks — Add body text, a title (heading), a subheading, a quote, or chat formatting. Each text block holds up to 4,096 characters.
- Image blocks — Add up to 10 images or GIFs, each in its own block.
- Video blocks — Add up to 10 video blocks per post, of which one can be a video you upload (up to 10 minutes); the rest point to an external video URL.
- Link blocks — Add up to 10 link blocks, each rendered by Tumblr as a preview card.
- Alt text — Add a description to each image so screen readers can describe it.
- Tags — Add up to 30 tags to help people find the post.
- Hashtag groups — Insert a saved group of tags in one click instead of retyping them.
- Live preview — See how the post will look on Tumblr as you build it.
