You can @mention people and LinkedIn Pages in the posts you schedule with Postpone. When a mention publishes correctly, the name becomes a link to that profile or Page, and LinkedIn notifies them.
Who You Can Mention
Anyone can mention a LinkedIn Page. Mentioning a person is more restricted, because LinkedIn only lets apps look up people who are connected to the account posting:

Mentioning a Person
When you're posting from a Company Page, you can mention any of that Page's followers:
- Type
@in the post box, followed by the first few letters of the person's first or last name. - Pick the person from the dropdown.
Postpone inserts the mention for you and shows the person's name in the post preview.
Mentioning a Page
To mention a LinkedIn Page, paste its full LinkedIn URL into the post box:
https://www.linkedin.com/company/postponesocial/
Postpone looks the Page up and replaces the URL with a mention automatically. The Page's own name is used, which is what LinkedIn requires for the mention to work.
Your own connected LinkedIn Pages and any mentions you've used in recent posts also appear in the @ dropdown, so you don't have to paste the URL again.
How Mentions Are Stored
Behind the scenes, LinkedIn requires mentions in a specific format, which is what Postpone stores in the post text:

The post preview and the published post show only the name (Postpone), but the full mention text counts toward the 3,000-character post limit in Postpone.
@ and choose from the dropdown, or paste a Page URL — don't type this format by hand. Typing a plain @Name yourself does not create a mention; it publishes as ordinary text.Name Matching Rules
LinkedIn converts a mention into a link only when the name in the mention matches the profile or Page name. Matching is case sensitive.
- Pages must match the full Page name, including suffixes such as Inc, LLC, or Ltd.
- People can match the first name, the last name, or the full name. For "Jane Smith",
Jane,Smith, andJane Smithall work. - If the name doesn't match, LinkedIn publishes the text as plain text with no link and no notification — the post itself still publishes successfully.
For this reason, avoid editing the name inside a mention after inserting it (for example, adding a title, credentials, or an emoji next to it inside the mention).
Limitations
- First comments don't support mentions. LinkedIn's comment API handles mentions differently from posts, so an @mention added to the First Comment field publishes as raw text instead of a link. Keep mentions in the main post text.
- People can't be mentioned from a personal profile. LinkedIn's people lookup is available to Pages only.
- People outside your Page's followers can't be mentioned. LinkedIn does not allow looking up anyone who doesn't follow the Page.
Troubleshooting
My mention published as plain text. The name inside the mention didn't match the profile or Page name exactly, including capitalization. Re-insert the mention from the dropdown or by pasting the Page URL, and don't edit the name afterward.
Nobody shows up when I type @.
If you're posting from a personal profile, people search isn't available — see the note above. From a Page, either your search text breaks one of LinkedIn's search rules (too short, contains a number, more than one space), or the person doesn't follow that Page.
The URL I pasted didn't turn into a mention.
Confirm the URL is a Page URL in the form linkedin.com/company/name/, and that the Page still exists. Personal profile URLs (linkedin.com/in/...) are not converted. If the lookup fails, the URL is left in your post untouched.
