Connecting a Mastodon Account

Learn how to connect your Mastodon or Pixelfed account to Postpone.

Postpone allows you to schedule posts and threads to your Mastodon accounts. Pixelfed accounts are also supported.

Connecting your Mastodon Account

  1. Navigate to Settings > Connected Accounts > Mastodon on Postpone.
  2. Click Connect a Mastodon Account.
  3. Select your server from the list of popular servers (e.g., mastodon.social, mastodon.world, mas.to), or enter a custom server URL.
  4. Proceed to log in with your Mastodon account on the selected server.
    • Follow the prompts and accept the permissions Postpone requires to submit posts and process analytics data.
  5. After accepting the prompts you will be redirected to Postpone with your Mastodon account connected. You can now schedule your Mastodon posts!

Connecting a Pixelfed Account

Postpone also supports Pixelfed accounts.

  1. Follow the same steps above, but select Pixelfed as your server type, or enter your Pixelfed server URL as a custom server.
  2. Before connecting, make sure you are logged into your Pixelfed account in a separate browser tab.
  3. Complete the authorization flow to connect your account.
Pixelfed accounts support single posts only. Threading is not available for Pixelfed.
