With Postpone, you can schedule Mastodon posts and threads in advance so that your content continuously appears in your followers' feeds.
Post Specifications
- Character limit: Each post can have up to 500 characters.
- Media support: Each post can contain up to 20 images, or 1 video, or 1 GIF. You cannot mix media types.
URLs in Mastodon posts always count as 23 characters regardless of their actual length. Mentions only count the username portion, not the domain.
Threads
- Threads can contain unlimited posts.
- All posts in a thread are scheduled for the same date and time.
- You can reorder posts within a thread and use thread numbering.
Threading is not available for Pixelfed accounts.
Visibility Settings
When scheduling a post, you can set the visibility level:
- Public — Visible to everyone and appears in public timelines.
- Unlisted — Visible to everyone but does not appear in public timelines.
- Private — Only visible to your followers.
- Direct — Only visible to users mentioned in the post.
Content Warnings
You can add a content warning to your post. When a content warning is set, the post content is hidden behind the warning text, and viewers must click to reveal it.
Language
You can set the language of your post to help it appear in the correct language filters on Mastodon.
