Adding Music or Links to TikTok Videos

Learn why adding music or links to TikTok videos is not supported via third-party tools, and how to work around it.

Adding music or links to TikTok videos is not supported in Postpone or any other third-party scheduling tool.

TikTok's API does not expose music selection or link functionality to third-party applications. This is a platform-level restriction that applies to all scheduling and social media management tools — it is not specific to Postpone.

Workaround: notification posting

You can still plan and time your TikTok videos in advance while adding music or links yourself at posting time. The recommended approach is to use notification posting:

  1. Schedule your TikTok video in Postpone as usual.
  2. When it's time to post, Postpone sends you a notification.
  3. Open TikTok from the notification and complete the post — including selecting your music track or adding any links — before publishing.

This gives you the benefits of advance scheduling while keeping full control over features TikTok reserves for native posting.
