Bulk Import lets you schedule dozens or even hundreds of posts at once by uploading a spreadsheet. Instead of creating posts one at a time, you fill out a template, upload it, review everything in one place, and import.
Supported Platforms
Bulk Import is available for the following platforms:
- X (Twitter)
- Threads
- Bluesky
- TikTok
- YouTube
Each platform has its own importer with columns specific to that platform (for example, subreddits and flair for Reddit, or auto-retweet options for X).
Supported Formats
Bulk Import accepts CSV (comma-separated values) files only. Every spreadsheet app can export to CSV:
- Microsoft Excel — use File > Save As and select CSV format.
- Apple Numbers — use File > Export To > CSV.
- Google Sheets — use File > Download > Comma-separated values (.csv).
Each platform provides an example CSV template with the exact columns it expects. Do not alter or remove any column headers — the importer matches your data to these headers.
How to Bulk Import
- Head to the Import page in Postpone.
- Select the platform you want to schedule posts for.
- Download the example CSV template for that platform.
- Follow the instructions in the sidebar to fill out each column, then save your file as a CSV.
- Upload your CSV file. Postpone validates your rows and shows a preview.
- Review the preview, fix any flagged rows, then click Import.
Your imported posts are added to your schedule, where you can review or edit them like any other scheduled post.
Scheduling with the Account Queue
Instead of picking a date and time for every row, you can let Postpone pick it for you. Type queue_next in the post_at column and the post is added to that account's queue: Postpone gives it the next open slot on the account's schedule.
A few things worth knowing:
- The account needs a schedule. If the account has no account schedule set up, the row is flagged in the preview and you'll need to either create a schedule or use a date instead.
- Every queued row gets its own slot. Rows are served in the order they appear in your file, so ten queued rows for the same account land on ten different slots.
- Occupied slots are skipped. A slot already taken by a scheduled post is passed over, and so is one taken by a date you typed on another row of the same file.
- You can mix both styles. Some rows can carry a date and others
queue_next, even for the same account.
On Reddit, a post takes one slot
Reddit is the one platform where several rows can add up to a single post: rows that share a title, text, link and account go to different subreddits as one post, and so do the rows of a crosspost. Those rows take one slot between them, and are spaced 20 minutes apart behind it, so the post doesn't hit every subreddit at once. Two rows that make up one post therefore use one slot, not two.
Queued Reddit rows read the schedule on the Reddit account, the same one the rest of Postpone queues from. The per-subreddit schedules in the Subreddit Manager are not used here.
In the preview, queued rows show Next open slot instead of a date. The actual date is assigned when you click Import, and from then on the post behaves like any other scheduled post — you can move it whenever you want.
Example
Your X account @postpone posts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 AM, today is Thursday, and you already have a post scheduled for Friday at 9:00 AM. You upload a file with three rows for that account, all using queue_next:
- The first row takes next Monday at 9:00 AM — Friday is already occupied.
- The second row takes next Wednesday at 9:00 AM.
- The third row takes next Friday at 9:00 AM.
