Troubleshooting Common Bulk Import Issues

Solutions for the most common issues when using Postpone's Bulk Import feature.

Bulk Import is a powerful feature to schedule dozens or hundreds of posts at once, but it requires precise adherence to the documentation for success.

1. Do Not Modify CSV Columns

Do not add, change, or remove any columns from the CSV template file. Modifying the template structure causes import failures. Always start with a fresh template downloaded from the Bulk Import page.

2. Use the Correct Date Format

Dates in the post_at column must follow this exact pattern:

YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM

Example: To schedule for 2:00 PM on September 22, 2023, enter 2023-09-22 14:00.

Formatting details:

  • Use 24-hour time notation with two-digit hours (e.g., 08:15 for 8:15 AM).
  • Use two-digit months and days (e.g., 2023-10-05 for October 5, 2023).

3. Verify Your Reddit Account Connection

The user column should include a Reddit account that is valid and connected to the Postpone account you are logged in under.

If the Reddit account in your CSV is not connected to your Postpone account, the import will fail. Double-check your connected accounts at Settings > Connected Accounts.
