Spintax (Spin Syntax) lets you create multiple title variations automatically. Postpone generates a unique title for each submission using your spintax template.
What is Spintax?
Spintax uses curly brackets {} and pipe characters | to create text variations. A pipe character is used to separate each possible word in the placeholder.
Basic Example
{Hello|Hi|Hey} there, how are you?
This produces three distinct variations:
- Hello there, how are you?
- Hi there, how are you?
- Hey there, how are you?
Multiple Placeholders
With multiple variable sections, variations multiply:
{Hello|Hi}, I create {content|videos}
This generates 4 combinations total:
- Hello, I create content
- Hello, I create videos
- Hi, I create content
- Hi, I create videos
Advanced Example
A complex spintax with five placeholder groups can produce hundreds of unique combinations.
Using Spintax in Postpone
Spintax works on the Schedule a Post page and in Bulk Import.
A visual indicator shows whether spintax is detected:
- Gray indicator -- spintax is inactive (no spintax detected)

- Green indicator -- spintax is active and will generate unique titles

The system generates a unique title for each submission using the spintax template. You can view the generated titles via the More options... button.
