Inviting Clients to the Portal

Invite clients to a dedicated login so they can review scheduled posts, upload media, and manage their own accounts.

Invite a client user to the Client Portal so they can log in to Postpone and review content scoped to a specific client. This is separate from Client Connect Links, which are for connecting social accounts without creating a login.

Inviting client users requires a plan with client management and multi-user support, and a confirmed email on your Postpone account. You must also create the client first and assign the social accounts they should see.

Sending an Invitation

  1. Navigate to Settings > Clients.
  2. Find the client row and click Invite.
  3. Enter the client user's Full Name and Email Address.
  4. Click Send Invitation.

The client receives an email with a link to join your account. Invitations expire after 7 days.

What Happens Next

  1. The client clicks the invitation link in their email.
  2. They set a password for their new Postpone account.
  3. They sign in at postpone.app/login.
  4. They are automatically routed to the Client Portal — they cannot access your agency workspace.

What Each Client Can Access

A client user can only see data for the social accounts assigned to the client(s) they manage. They cannot:

  • See your other clients or their accounts.
  • Access agency-wide settings, analytics, or billing.
  • Edit or reschedule posts from the Calendar.

See the Client Portal overview for details on each portal page.

Managing Invitations and Users

From Settings > Clients, click the pencil icon in the Users column on any client row to expand its list of client users. From there you can:

  • Resend a pending or expired invitation if the client didn't receive it or the link has expired.
  • Revoke a pending invitation to cancel it before the client accepts.
  • Remove an active client user to revoke their access to the portal.

Each client user has a status:

  • Invited — Invitation sent but not yet accepted.
  • Active — Client has accepted and can log in.
  • Expired — Invitation was not accepted within 7 days. Resend to issue a new one.
  • Deactivated — User has been removed or their client was deleted.
Removing a client from Settings > Clients does not disconnect their social accounts, but it does deactivate any client users assigned to that client — they will be unable to log into the Client Portal unless re-invited under another client.
