Conversation Replies

Use AI to draft comment replies in Conversations across supported social platforms.

AI Assistant in Conversations helps you craft replies to public comments across your connected social accounts. It reads the comment thread to generate a contextual response you can refine and send without leaving Postpone.

Opening AI Assistant for a Comment

  1. Open Conversations from the main navigation.
  2. Select the Comments inbox for the account or platform you want to reply from.
  3. Open a comment thread.
  4. Click the AI Assistant button in the reply editor at the bottom of the thread.

The assistant uses the comment you're replying to — and any visible parent thread context — to generate a relevant, on-topic response.

Generating a Reply

Once open, you can generate a reply in two ways:

  • Generate immediately — click Create to let AI draft a reply based on the comment context alone.
  • Add a prompt first — type a short instruction to shape the tone or direction before generating.

Example prompts:

"Thank them for the kind words and invite them to share with a friend"

"Acknowledge the issue and let them know we're looking into it"

"Answer their question and keep it short"

"Playful reply that stays on brand"

After generating, review the draft in the preview panel. Click Insert to push it into the reply editor, where you can make any final changes before sending.

Editing the Draft

Once inserted, the draft is fully editable. You can also run additional AI actions to refine it:

  • Shorter — cut the reply down if it's running long.
  • Improve — clean up phrasing and flow before posting.
  • Tone — switch to Friendly, Casual, Formal, or another tone to better fit the platform and audience.

Tips for Better Comment Replies

  • Platform tone matters. A reply on LinkedIn should read differently than one on Instagram or Reddit. Add a short prompt to anchor the tone if you want a specific feel.
  • Use prompts for sensitive comments. Negative feedback, product complaints, or questions about pricing tend to generate better results with a brief direction like "acknowledge the concern and keep it professional".
  • Keep it concise. Comment replies that are too long often get ignored. If a draft comes back lengthy, use the Shorter action before inserting.
  • Personalize the output. Adding the commenter's name or a detail specific to their comment makes replies feel genuine rather than automated.
If your AI style settings include a brand voice or custom instructions, those apply here too — so you don't need to describe your tone in every prompt.

Plan Access

Conversation-reply AI is part of inbox-capable AI plans. Accounts without this feature will see an upgrade prompt when clicking AI Assistant inside a comment thread.
